A monster.
My monster.
Loving him is a sin, but a sinner I am. I won't stop until I see every part of him. Even the parts he keeps locked deep down inside.
I am Number Thirteen, and this is my story. No one said it was pretty, or right, but it's mine.

My Review:
What happened to William when he was thirteen was brutal and hard to read, my heart broke for him. As I learned more about him and his life I understood what he was trying to do even though I didn't agree with his methods, I warmed to him. His intentions were good, he was trying to give the girls a better life, his own life had been far from good. He was looking for a lover among the thirteen girls because he believed no one would ever love him because of his scarred face. He never expected to find love. I liked it when he spoke in Romanian, made him more exotic. Some reviews have said they couldn't understand why he spoke in a foreign language but it was clear to me that he was Romanian. I wanted him to find love, he was a good person who deserved some happiness.
I liked number thirteen, she was strong and feisty. She broke through his walls, as he did hers. I also liked William's brother Ben. His father was an asshole , I don't understand why he was so cruel to William.
The only reason this is not a 5 star is because there were a couple of plot inconsistencies that took me out of the story. At the end of the book there are thirteen girls, when it should have been twelve because one has died. Also, Rachel doesn't know what language William is speaking and suddenly in the middle of the book she just knows he's speaking Romanian, then later she reverts to not knowing what language he's speaking.
Overall though this was a great story that has stayed with me. I understand the author may be writing a book about Ben and I would love to read that. I hope that William and Rachel will feature in it too as I'd love to know what the future holds for them. This is the first book I've read from Bella Jewel but it won't be the last.
