Celebrating Women. Nonnie Jules and RRBC

3/31/2015

Rave Reviews Book Club is having a recruitment day contest and the theme is celebrating women. When deciding who to write about in this post I thought of many women who have inspired me, from  Beyonce, J.K. Rowling, Marie Curie, to Emmeline Pankhurst and more, but it seemed appropriate to choose Nonnie Jules, founder of the Rave Reviews Book Club.

Why? She single handedly formed an on-line book club that now has over 500 members who support and propel each other. But that's not all. She also formed a publishing company that organizes blog tours, creates book covers, makes trailers and on top of all this she's an author of four books. She's made me believe that anything is possible if you work at it.

What I love most about Nonnie is that she doesn't take any crap. She believes in herself and doesn't let anyone bring her down, and as women I think we all need more of that.

Check out Nonnie's books HERE

If you're an author Rave Reviews Book Club offers so many benefits: Book of the Month, Member of the Month, PushTuesday, Spotlight author, Member of the week, plus support on twitter and Facebook, and of course reviews. John is torn between the woman he is fated to and Adela. He fears that it is Adela's powers of seduction that is tempting him. He feels a desire to protect Gala, but also feels a yearning for Adela. At the same time Adela must search for the secret journal known as the Guardian journal and protect those she loves from the dangers that lurk in the shadows.

His official position is the Ambassador of Adela’s coven, but his unusual gift of slipping by people helps him gather the information. He has taught Adela many of the dead languages of vampires and people, but there is something he is looking for that he even conceals from her.

    Author

Michelle Abbott lives in the UK and hates describing herself in 3rd person.

She writes new adult romance about heroes who fight against the odds and are protective of their girl.

She's an avid reader of romance, is addicted to coffee and loves wine and chocolate, so yeah, not the most healthy eating and drinking habits :-) She spends way too much time online when she should be writing. She collects teddy bears and occasionally knits a couple of rows on a sweater she started years ago, which she may eventually finish in time to wear for her funeral :-)
